About Lisa
I wasn’t done
building things.
My Story
Built from
the ground up.
I’m Lisa W. Johnson — NC-born, lifelong entrepreneur, horsewoman, grandmother. I’ve spent my entire adult life building things from scratch and I have no intention of stopping.
My husband Jamie and I have been doing life together since we were thirteen years old. We went to kindergarten together, grew up together, and eventually built a company together. In 1995, we co-founded Performance Glass, Inc. — a commercial glazing company that started small and grew into a multimillion dollar operation serving major general contractors across the Southeast. Thirty years later, our sons Benjamin and Nicholas are now part of that leadership team. That’s not just a business. That’s a legacy.
I came to real estate in my 50s. I was good at it immediately — not because it was easy, but because I already knew how to run a business, read people, and do the work that most agents aren’t willing to do.
At 60, I opened Performance Property Partners — my own boutique brokerage with offices in Clayton and Hampstead, NC. Not because I needed to. Because I saw a better way to serve clients and support agents, and I wasn’t willing to keep waiting for someone else to build it.
I also understand what it means to run a real business — the cash flow decisions, the people management, the pressure that comes at 2am when something goes sideways. That background makes me a different kind of broker. And a different kind of agent.

How I Spend My Time
Three worlds.
One life.
01
Real Estate
I specialize in out-of-state relocation buyers, luxury waterfront properties, equestrian land, and rural acreage across Johnston, Wake, Pender, and Moore counties. I hold memberships in both Triangle MLS and NC Regional MLS. I work these markets daily — not from behind a desk, but in the field.

Performance Glass
As President & CFO of Performance Glass, Inc., I oversee the financial and strategic direction of a multimillion dollar commercial glazing subcontractor with MBE, HUB, and woman-owned certifications. We’ve been building relationships with major GCs since 1995 — and that foundation is still what drives us.

The Farm & The Arena
I own and operate a horse farm in Benson, NC and compete in NCHA cutting horse events across the United States — primarily in Fort Worth. The horses aren’t a hobby. They’re how I stay grounded, stay sharp, and remember what it feels like to work toward something with no guarantee of the outcome.
The Arena
What horses
taught me about business.
I’ve been riding competitively my entire life. Cutting horses specifically — which means stepping into an arena, dropping the reins, and trusting that the thousands of hours you’ve put in will hold when the cow moves.
There’s no faking it in the cutting pen. The horse knows. The cow knows. The judges know. You either prepared or you didn’t. That accountability is something I carry into every transaction, every negotiation, every business decision I make.
I show the major NCHA events across the country — the Derby in Fort Worth, the Southern Futurity in Mississippi, and beyond. In 2021, my horse Rey Badgers Stylin — Axel — and I made the Limited Non Pro finals at the NCHA Derby, the Southern Futurity, and the Quarter Horse Congress in a single season after I’d nearly sold him.
That story — almost quitting right before the breakthrough — is one I come back to often. In business, in real estate, in life. The timing of giving up is almost never right.

Let’s have a real conversation.
Whether you’re buying, selling, relocating to Carolina, or an agent looking for a brokerage that actually backs you up — I’d love to connect. No assistant, no automated response. Just me.
